Oh wake up, awaken sleeper
You who lie in the sleep of death
And have such a sad fate
Oh awaken for Christ, the Lord!
For the faithful Savior calls you
His blood on the cross has already shed
Your sins there annihilated
And you answer: I don't want, Lord?

Do you not know that your very breath
Comes from God, comes at every moment?
Do you want to awaken in a torment
That will never end?
Today Christ wants to set you free
Oh wake up to the voice of the Savior
Quickly flee from the abyss of horror
That seeks to swallow your soul

Do you not care that now
Your soul is in a dark dungeon?
Believe in Jesus today, seek Him and worship
For in this way you will have salvation
Believing in Christ in your heart
You will obtain peace and joy through Him
And you will also dwell in heaven
If you now receive forgiveness
