How kind friend Christ is!
He carried our pain
He commands us to present
All our worries to the Lord
Does your aching heart lack
Joy, peace, consolation?
That is only 'cause we fail to
Take it all to God in prayer
Are you weak and filled
With sorrow, doubt and fear?
To Jesus, eternal refuge
Go with faith and expose your problems!
Do your friends despise you?
Tell Him this in prayer
And with His love so tender
You will have peace in your heart
Christ is a true friend
This He proved
When to redeem the sinner
He became the sacrifice
He shed His pure blood
To cleanse our every stain
Enjoyment in life and in the future
In Him we shall receive
