Mother, what’s the worth of the whole universe and power
Against a single wound of your Son?

When you kiss all His wounds?
Mother, I want to see what you see

Mother, where did the words I heard go?
Where did the warmth of His heartbeat go?
Mother, where did your Beloved go? I will search for Him
And I’ll keep Him safe in your arms
Mother, where God chose to be born

Rock Him in your arms tonight like yesterday
Under the cold and mystery of Bethlehem
Only with His blood will we be reborn
With the blood of Jesus of Nazareth

Mother, I will tremble as I take Christ down from the Cross
We’ll cover Him together with caresses
Mother, I will peek into the open side of His love
And I will see the new heavens
Where they worship your victorious Son
