Child Doll
Who ever had in childhood a beloved toy
And noticed how early its value faded away
I too possessed a treasure, a rarity to behold
A child doll, to whom I gave my love that day
That child doll, today a woman, truly grown
Traded reality for a cruel, deceitful guise
That child doll, with a kiss so sweetly known
Upon leaving me, became a doll of paper in my eyes
Doll, I am a boy, with a heart deeply wounded
Seeing my broken toy, my joy completely lost
Doll, to find happiness, my longing must be soothed
For her who was a doll, at any cost
That child doll, today a woman, truly grown
Traded reality for a cruel, deceitful guise
That child doll, with a kiss so sweetly known
Upon leaving me, became a doll of paper in my eyes
Doll, I am a boy, with a heart deeply wounded
Seeing my broken toy, my joy completely lost
Doll, to find happiness, my longing must be soothed
For her who was a doll, at any cost
