One day I woke up with everything wrong
I felt like my smile disappeared
When I looked beside me
I saw that I was imprisoned
Like a bird in a cage

With wounded wings
I couldn't even fly
Everything I did went wrong
In my limited world
With no one to help me

But suddenly a hand appeared to me
I realized it was God
Taking me out of the cage
I never felt that way
So I opened my wings and he called me out

I want to fly like a free bird
I want to dance on the wings of the wind
I want to feel Jesus by my side
Now I'm a free bird
I will never be caged again
