I saw the show
I witnessed that ovation
There were a thousand, maybe more
Never suspecting
They suffered from the blues
Escaping endless boredom
The infallible remedy
Was to see the great Garrick

Puppets jump and they make them dance
The comedy begins and everyone laughs nonstop
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Before long a man
Presented himself to a doctor
His dark and sad gaze said
He was dying to die

Followed a long interrogation
And seeing that nothing caused him emotion
The doctor exclaimed
Your illness will disappear
By seeing the great Garrick
