Saga
CATTO
Saga
I walked quickly so I wouldn't have to retrace my steps
For a night so fleeting I didn't even notice it
So excruciating, that when I look back now
All I have left are daydreams of what I once lived
If I had known that love is such an acute thing
That so brutally runs through beginning, middle, and end
It tears apart the soul, cuts deep into the spine
It intoxicates the throat, wounding whomever it wishes to wound
As he walked, cursing poetry
I told my story to someone one night that broke through
It turned inside out, and when daylight arrived
I stumbled upon yet another verse about what time has forgotten
And in this saga I come with stones and embers
I come with force, but without ever forgetting
It was easy to get lost in dreams
And leave the heart bleeding until it goes mad
And it was a joke, a lie, nonsense
I felt my chest, hit, begin to ignite
And I started to like the taste of that thing
Getting hooked on every verse that love came to sing
But then, suddenly, a somewhat intrusive splinter
It came to blind my emotion, preventing me from sighing
If I had known that love was something like this
He wouldn't steal, he wouldn't drink, and he wouldn't let anyone get drunk
And now walking, drenched in stars
I sang all night to soothe my heart
I made myself as strong as the darkness of infinity
And as fragile as the morning light I saw arriving
And in this saga I come with stones and embers
I come smiling, but never forgetting
It was easy to get lost in dreams
And leave the heart bleeding until it goes mad
