Jesus, Nimm Zu

Every day a little piece dies,
letting go of what holds me.
Many things still need to change,
until it fits in God's world.

Some dreams I have to let go,
wishes remain unfulfilled.
I have nothing left but to trust,
that you will satisfy my longing.

Jesus, take over in my life.
Jesus, my heart I want to give to you.
You should grow and I must become smaller.
Jesus, take over in me.

Every day a little older
and the outer man decays.
Let the inner man grow,
strengthen what lasts forever.

What is valuable in your eyes,
doesn't mean much in this world.
But I go on this journey
with you, Jesus, until the end.
