When I wake up early in the morning
I hear the birds singing
While I make my coffee I watch
The Sun rising on the horizon
So begins another new day
Which for me is like being born again
I look at the sky and cry with joy
To see that God allowed me to live

I see that God is truly powerful
He is the author of all creation
Here in the countryside I am never alone
For He lives in my heart

When I finish all my work
I return home at dusk
And from the porch I see fireflies
Announcing the nightfall
At nightfall, I grab my guitar
And sing hymns to the Creator
The Moon comes out with its divine light
And covers my backcountry with love

I see that God is truly powerful
He is the author of all creation
Here in the countryside I am never alone
For He lives in my heart

Here in the countryside life is not easy
We don't have much comfort
My transportation is my bay horse
And many times I walk as well
But I am happy with my simple life
For I know that one day everything will pass
And soon, I will leave the countryside
And go live with Jesus in heaven
