I step out for a walk.
The storefronts never change.
Same old thing as yesterday on this day.
On the TV, sci-fi shows,
my Saturday night escape.
My eyes drift across the screen.
And it’s where I want to, it’s where I want to be.
Invaders in my bed!!
Comics under the mattress,
with the light from my bedside lamp.
I’ll soon be far from home.
I want to go to another dimension,
earthly stuff has bored me.
Let’s get out of here for something different.
