La Huerta

The orchard
I’m gonna clear the stones
And that way I’ll make
The water flow back once and for all
Downward
Sweeping with its power
And it will carry in its embrace
The elements,
That combined with the warmth of the sun
And the wind
Will show us…
That our best fruits will be born
We must be patient and wait
For the cold to pass
The warmth will come and then
Even late with us,
In December the sun will stay
And it’s that the
Day you won’t be able to…
Neither you nor anyone will stop us
The time to harvest has come
Our hopes will no longer be
They’ll pay for the transformed water
We just have to wait.
