A Cruz do Meio
Elias e Eliseu
The Cross in the Middle
A cross, the blood running on the ground
A sad cry in the midst of the crowd
From a mother
Who was in despair
A pain that someone who didn’t deserve had to feel
Someone who shouldn’t have paid paid for me
Loved too much
Even those who didn’t love him
He didn’t condemn me
Nor did he judge me
He just wanted to forgive me
I was the one who owed
But it was the Son of God who had to pay
What kind of love is this
That I had never felt before
He cared for me
Even though I was so wrong
What kind of love is this
That even the cross couldn’t kill
Even there he loved me
Forgave my sins
He there on the cross in the middle
And I there on the cross beside
He owed nothing
But I was condemned
He there on the cross in the middle
And I just a sinner
Even so, he spoke to me
I’ll change your fate and take you to paradise
He didn’t condemn me
Nor did he judge me
He just wanted to forgive me
I was the one who owed
But it was the Son of God who had to pay
What kind of love is this
That I had never felt before
He cared for me
Even though I was so wrong
What kind of love is this
That even the cross couldn’t kill
Even there he loved me
Forgave my sins
He there on the cross in the middle
And I there on the cross beside
He owed nothing
But I was condemned
He there on the cross in the middle
And I just a sinner
Even so, he spoke to me
I’ll change your fate and take you to paradise
He there on the cross in the middle
And I there on the cross beside
He owed nothing
But I was condemned
He there on the cross in the middle
And I just a sinner
Even so, he spoke to me
I’ll change your fate and take you to paradise
What kind of love is this
What kind of love is this
What kind of love is this
It could only be from God
