I wish that when it rains
Instead of water, it poured out coke
And that beer flowed
Tequila through seas and rivers
That in the gardens there were
Instead of flowers, carnations or lilies
Little plants of weed
Coke and opium, how nice!

The cartels wouldn’t exist
Let alone the mobsters
Mother Nature
Would take care of us
Keeping us all happy
Everyone drunk and crazy
It would be a blast

That the damn government didn’t exist
We’d live more comfortably
Without thieves around
That would be something else
To have the nine lives of a cat
To shoot it out
With the cops and soldiers

But God doesn’t grant wishes
Nor straightens out the crooked
I just have to settle
For everything I’ve been given
It’s okay to dream, cousin
I don’t think that’s a sin.
