Lord when I remember what I used to be
I did so many things but I finally reached a state where I had to stop
I looked in many doors for the exit I didn't see
In the darkness, getting out of the darkness could not
It was in this state that I came to find you
I arrived so dying and with a decayed countenance
I thought I was happy but I was overwhelmed
That's how I went to meet You
And then Your love welcomed me and I felt strength
You took me by the hand, calling me my son
And in Your arms I soon found rest

I didn't deserve to be forgiven by Jesus for much
And besides, it gave me a new life
Much more than that, the right to live in heaven
Who was I wandering through the loops of this life
Now in Christ my story has changed
I sing like this who I was and who I am
