La Loba

The She-Wolf
There is a woman whose name seems like gold and sometimes it is
Her name is freedom in the heart
Humans who cover the world with their work and their glass of wine
They are told everything in strong speeches
Where do those who talk all day long head to
They ride on steel mules believing everything
Death comes to them without a cup, without clothes, nor tone in the cloak
Since the law of the whole earth is stronger than their vanity
And it would turn them to dust for you, little man in time
Your heavens are forgiveness in lands beyond
The wide sea
A child and his lost space, inheritance of trampled glory
Are laws of a savagery written in what
They step on me, eject me, attract me, flatter me, as if I were a variable
Thinking pleasant things, they believe you to be
A channel that builds valleys, that affirms what remakes us
That grows, that loves over time like a she-wolf
I am man, woman, child, and father; on this celestial planet
And tell me who was the first human being humiliated and challenged by all
Wasn't he perhaps a little wiser understanding you, me
The old and stripped, the crazy person who loves greatly
Affection and torment, truth and lie, we talk about common places
It's not about invading, but about maturing
With palms in my right hand and here in my left, an empty glass
Perhaps it's just a misunderstanding, your hatred loses me
I don't want your garnet bear and keep your white eagle
Lest they die of thirst and hunger
Don't think you own everything, nor break the swan's wings
Because the law of the whole earth is stronger than their vanity
And it would turn them to dust for you, little man in time
Your heavens are forgiveness in lands beyond the wide sea
