It all started in the bar
on May 25th
Leonardo Medina said,
"I'm gonna marry Rosario."
I’ll take the steps to ask for her hand.
Leonardo got home that same afternoon,
very surprised, his father said
he didn’t know about it.
"Forget your intentions,
because Chayo is my daughter."

If his father had shot him,
it would’ve been better.
He went back to the bar
and started drinking hard.
Between tears and moans,
he sighed for his love.

Leonardo wanted to die,
he couldn’t forget her.
He never left the bar,
his mother, desperate,
came and told him the truth:

it’s true that Rosario Pérez
is your father’s little girl.
You’re the son of a neighbor,
you can marry her."

The wedding took place
for Rosario and Medina.
They live happily together,
