Enrolados - Quando a Minha Vida Vai Começar

Once again the day is starting
At seven sharp I must sweep the floor
Wax everything, polish to make it shine
I do this, and in the end, it's already seven fifteen

Then I start to read a book, or two, or three
I paint my gallery again
Then guitar and knitting, trying to imagine
When will my life begin

After lunch games and using the oven
Paper mache, ballet, and playing chess
Pots, ventriloquism, and making ornaments
Stretching, touching up, climbing, without shyness

Then back to reading, if time allows
Paint a little more, never finishing
Then brush my whole hair
But without leaving this same place

Imagining but when, but when will my life begin?

Tomorrow night they will appear
The same lights inviting to come down
How will it be? I need to find out
My mother could now let me go
