Blessing That Doesn't Go Away
I lost the original design that the Lord created
I molded myself to the standards of the world that applauded me
I used Your name as a seal for what I achieved
While I hid far from Your Eden
It was easy to justify everything I achieved
To quote You in speeches, but I removed You from the altar
I celebrated results to disguise the pain
I distanced myself from the source, but kept the Lord's name
Little by little I signed it without realizing it
Contracts that promised growth without dependence
The higher I climbed, the less I listened to You
My Sun shone brightly, my soul drifted away
I said: Thank God, it was a struggle to get here
But deep down I was trying to exalt myself
I confused provision with self-sufficiency
I traded Your presence for control and appearances
Like every story, there is a path to walk
And it is at the height of the harvest that the Lord comes to test
For it is easier to get lost when the blessing seduces
Than when life weighs heavily and only the cross remains
Many find You when everything seems to crumble
But they lose You when the table begins to flow
Excess distracts, abundance confuses
And the heart forgets Who sustains everything
Then the process begins without warning
Sudden losses take their place
Contracts are broken, peace falls from the ground
And control slips from my hand
God doesn't take things from us out of malice
He removes what prevents us from flowing
Some people have lost their way in the blessings they received
Because they forgot that everything that comes from heaven
Is born to flow, not to be trapped
A river that doesn't flow becomes sick
A blessing that isn't shared weighs us down
God doesn't take things away from us out of malice
He removes what prevents us from flowing
Some people have lost their way in the blessings they received
Because they forgot that everything that comes from heaven
Is born to flow, not to be trapped
A river that doesn't flow becomes sick
A blessing that isn't shared is heavy
The blessing I give isn't for you to hoard
It's not for you to cling to, nor to aggrandize yourself
It's a flowing river, bread shared
It wasn't made to become a hidden trophy
Stagnant water doesn't generate life, only tension
What doesn't flow sickens the heart
I bless you to reach and share
What I breathe needs to circulate
I am the God who multiplies by sharing
Who makes a beginning of existence from little
It's better to give than to accumulate
A blessing that doesn't flow wasn't born to prosper
I am the God who multiplies by sharing
Who makes a beginning of existence from little
It's better to give than to accumulate
A blessing that doesn't flow wasn't born to prosper
The God of Genesis breathes life again
Removes the retentions you yourself erected
Don't rebuild the walls I came to tear down
Prosperity is charity in the form of love
I don't hold back
I do Flow
I am the God of multiplication
Some people have lost their way in the blessings they received
Because they forgot that everything that comes from heaven
Is born to flow, not to be trapped
A river that doesn't flow becomes sick
A blessing that isn't shared is heavy
