Amor Que Cedo Passa
Dhiego Shofar
Love That Fades Soon
I see hands raised in worship
But at night they make a pact with darkness
By day they seek Me with devotion
At dawn they sell themselves to seduction
Lips honor Me, I hear the song
But the heart flees from My direction
They say they love Me intensely
But they live alliances without fidelity
You say: We'll return, without brokenness
Beautiful words, empty repentance
They try to convince Me with religiosity
But I search the soul, the truth, and the intention
This is the love that soon passes
Like the mist that the Sun dissipates
It promises everything, but doesn't sustain
It wants My blessing, but not My presence
Love that soon passes, without roots, without a cross
It wants My Kingdom, but rejects My light
When I try to heal and restore you
What My eyes see is always the same again
Wounds opened by idolatry and ambition
Altars hidden in their own hearts
They seek their provision in gods
Money has taken My place in worship
Without realizing it, they have raised another altar
A God who obeys, ready to serve and please
A God who caters to personal desires
Who does not confront, does not call for more
But I am Holy, I do not negotiate truth
I do not divide My glory with vanity
This is the love that soon passes
Like a promise that the wind carries away
They weep in the temple, but live the same
A divided heart has never been loyal
Love that soon passes, without fear, without a cross
Follows My blessing, but abandons My light
Even so, I loved them, says the Lord
I sought you in error, I covered you with love
My mercy overcame your sin
I called you again to begin anew
But do not confuse grace with permission
Nor patience with approval
The day is coming, My justice will come
And where there is no repentance, it will speak
This is the love that soon passes
But My love never fails, never tires
Return to Me while there is forgiveness
While My name calls your heart
Love that soon passes, leave it behind
Before time says: Too late
Return to Me while it is still day
Before justice silences mercy
I am the God of infinite compassion
But I do not accept hearts in two directions
Return now, not tomorrow
I call for love, but I do not wait forever
