El Galileo

In Galilee far from here
One day the voice of the Galilean rang out
He was sent for that town
And the rebellious nation didn't accept him

Of that humble and gentle Galilean
The prophet Isaiah spoke long before
He said he would come to bring good news
But his homeland turned him away

Holy Galilean, Divine Jesus
I hear his voice and I accept him
Today I have light

That Galilean came to spread the word
And announce the time of salvation
He came to give sight to the blind
And freedom to the captives

They never believed he was the Messiah
Because he was poor and a worker
He had no place to rest his head
But he was the Savior of this world
