Davi
Daniel & Samuel
David
Walking in the field alone, taking care of sheep
Under a blazing sun, never complaining
His hair was red and burnt, his skin was sun-kissed
No toys to play with, always working hard
He wasn't a warrior, but he had the gift to win
Killed a lion and a bear, God gave him strength
That scrawny kid, who few people knew
Was the weapon God prepared to take down Goliath
Take the oil, prophet, and go where I command
Invite Jesse and his sons to sanctify
God said, wait prophet, someone’s yet to arrive
From this house, I chose the youngest, anoint him, I will use him
Then someone ran to fetch the kid
He was forgotten in the field, always working
His brothers looked at each other, shocked
No one sat at the table, without the youngest there
David came in and knelt on the ground
In front of his jealous ones, he received the anointing
Who was humiliated rose up, who was exalted came down
To be a vessel, prophet, or warrior, it’s God who chooses
My brother, get ready for God to use you
There are giants, there are bears for you to slay
You say: I can’t
He says: I’m with you to fight
God doesn’t seek the skilled, He wants to teach
He looks for the unqualified, to empower
God is still looking for warriors on earth
Let God use you, let God use you
