EL QUE NO IBA A FALLAR
Dan Sanchez
THE ONE WHO WASN'T SUPPOSED TO FAIL
Since last night I can't sleep
The powder's got me tripping hard
On the table there's a big line
A sigh watching the sun go down
It's been a while since I knew myself
But in my madness, I remember you
Among the pink, the excess, the downfall
Everything shines, but there's no salvation here
What good is fame, money, and glory to me?
If when I wake up, loneliness tells another story
What good is money if spending it doesn't fill me up?
I learned that the answer isn't in the material
Where are all those who celebrated with me?
And those beauties I've always showered with gifts?
Where's the one who said he’d always be there?
The one who left, swore he wouldn't let me down
It's been a while since I knew myself
But in my madness, I remember you
Among the pink, the excess, the downfall
Everything shines, but there's no salvation here
What good is fame, money, and glory to me?
If when I wake up, loneliness tells another story
What good is money if spending it doesn't fill me up?
I learned that the answer isn't in the material
Where are all those who celebrated with me?
And those beauties I've always showered with gifts?
Where's the one who said he’d always be there?
The one who left, swore he wouldn't let me down
