La Huella y La Vaca

It's time to go for a run
The cattle heading to the pen
I'm off to cut
The track of some wild horse

With my saddled horse
And my lasso to catch
Into the woods I go
Eager to excel

In the watering hole the cattle is
And they want to scatter
Today they won't get past me
I'll set the dogs on them

The fierce wild animal
Will hide in the woods
And I'll keep tracking
The footprint and the cow will be

My horse, a great tracker
Very agile to track
Through the woods I run
I won't lose the track

I'm very close to the wild horse
The saddle will protect me
I won't back down
If I have to face thorns

The lasso in my hands
I'll set the legs
The fierce one this time
Won't escape me

Defeated the animal
I shout, I lead
And in that thicket
The footprint and the cow remained
