El Peregrino

I saw a pilgrim
Saved by faith
Washed in the blood
With a radiant face
And without any fear
Tempted more and more
He said this yoke is easy
The burdens are light

I know that palms of victory and a crown
Palms and crowns I’ll lay at His feet

I saw him in the fiery furnace
Without doubt or fear
And right in the flames
Was the Savior there
When the fire was turned up
Seven times more
He said this yoke is easy
The burdens are light

When facing various trials
Prisons and pain
He said with joy
It’s for my Redeemer
I felt great joy
For God chose him
To carry His burden
And His light yoke

And I saw the pilgrim
Overcome in the end
Reaching his goal
Eternal life
An incorruptible crown
The King presented him
To the one who found a light burden and yoke
In Christ
