La Tarde

When evening falls
The cattle return
They roam the prairie
Under the golden sun

On the old bridge
Bells start ringing
Back to the barn
Cows and calves

The bell
Can be heard ringing
The stars
Start to shine again

When evening falls
Little Red Riding Hood
Eats rice pudding
With her grandma

And while she listens
To the wolf's tale
The little calf trembles
Feeling all alone

In the pond
Near the pine grove
The little frogs
Start to croak

Up in the mountains
The glowing lights
Are from the campfires
That the shepherds make

The gentle dew
Covers the ground
And maybe from the cold
The heifer moos!
