La Mariposa

Born on a rose
At the hour when fairies sing
A beautiful butterfly
With shiny silver wings

Little sprout that moves
And will soon fly
When you fly, don't forget
To come visit me

That's why we
Are celebrating
Let the orchestra come
And start playing

We are happy
For the butterfly
We are joyful
We want to dance

Here comes the cicada
To strum its guitar
And the grasshopper
To play its violin

And accompanying
The song of the water
Jumps the goldfinch
Playing a little flute
