O Sofrimento de Jó

The Suffering of Job
I'm going to tell the story of a man
That he had great fear of God
The richest man in the land of Uz
City where God dwelt
He faced a great battle
But he won alongside the Lord
The devil, enemy of believers
One day God appeared to him
Saying: Job is only faithful
Because your assets have increased
But you finish everything he has
And you will see that he is a blasphemer
God said to him: I will show you
That your accusation is in vain
My servant, he is faithful
Even though I am in tribulation
I order you to finish what he has
Just don't touch your heart
The farms that Job owned
Fire came from heaven and melted
The camels that were in the field
They were taken by the Chaldeans
And so what Job possessed
In a moment it disappeared
Your disobedient children
Drinking were accustomed
It happened that one day they were
Eating and drinking while seated
A very strong wind came
And left it all over there
A sickness came upon Job
His body was left with a wound
His soul felt fatigue
And I was terrified of death
Job crying thus exclaimed
Oh blessed are you, my lord
The woman Job loved so much
One day he used treason
Making a bad partner
Your heart has changed
Curse your God and die
And rest from your affliction
And after suffering for so long
The Lord has eased your pain
Healing your illness
More and more his assets increased
Job sang and could say
I waited only for the Lord
My brothers, this is for us
Learn everything here to support
Even moaning and crying
Go and proclaim the gospel
And the tears that fall from the eyes
Our God is the one who will wipe it away!
