What am I doing if I am a Christian,
If Christ gives me his forgiveness?
There are many homeless without a home, without bread,
There are many lives without salvation.
But Christ came to redeem us,
The whole man, without dividing:
Not only to save the soul from evil,
Also to resurrect the body.

There is much hunger in my country,
There are so many unhappy people,
There are little children who will die,
There are so many elderly suffering.
Millions don't know how to write,
Millions of poor people can't read:
They live in darkness without realizing
That they are slaves of another being.

What am I doing if I am a Christian,
If Christ gives me his forgiveness?
There are many homeless without a home, without bread,

To the powerful I will preach,
To the rich men I will proclaim
That injustice is against God
And vile misery insults the heavens.
