Mittsommernacht
Claudia Jung
Midsummer Night
The southern Sun had been with me for
Years too hot and the wind was full of dust
That's why I took the other direction this time
Drove far up north
In the land of fjords and salmon
The scissors and the bright night
I spent a wonderful summer of love
It was midsummer night and the Sun was high
Over the festive land
Musicians playing and we dancing barefoot in the sand
It was midsummer night I wore flowers in my hair
You said quietly to me
Dance with me into the morning tonight I'll stay with you
They decorated the houses
The trees with flowers
And ribbons made of colored paper
The people were happy
They laughed and sang and called to me, you stay here
How I would have loved to stay
But unfortunately time did not stand still
But I'll come back to go with you into the summer
It was midsummer night and the Sun was high
Over the festive land
Musicians playing and we dancing barefoot in the sand
It was midsummer night I wore flowers in my hair
You said quietly to me
Dance with me into the morning tonight I'll stay with you
It was midsummer night and the Sun was high
Over the festive land
Musicians playing and we dancing barefoot in the sand
It was midsummer night I wore flowers in my hair
You said quietly to me
