Cristo Está Vivo

Christ is Alive

Today is Friday in Jerusalem, on the way to Calvary I see Someone
Carrying a heavy cross, Condemned to die in my place

The soldiers will nail Him to the cross
And as they lift it, they will tear Jesus' Body apart
The pains will be the most terrible that Someone can endure
And even His Own Father will turn His face away

When the crowd shouted: 'Release Barabbas!'
They were condemning to death the Prince of Peace
When they cried out: 'Crucify Jesus!'
They were choosing darkness, rejecting the Light
But He came to fulfill what God planned
And there on the cross in my place, He then surrendered
Like a Lamb, He had to go through death
Like a Lion, He rose again, forever He is Alive

He is Alive, Christ is Alive
He triumphed over death and is here today
He is Alive, Christ is Alive
Behold the Lamb of God, Lion of the Tribe of Judah
Christ is Alive, He is Alive
Behold the Lamb of God, Lion of the Tribe of Judah
Christ is Alive, He is Alive
He is the Lamb of God, Lion of the Tribe of Judah
Lion of the Tribe of Judah...

When the crowd shouted: 'Release Barabbas!'
They were condemning to death the Prince of Peace
When they said: 'Crucify Jesus!'
They were choosing darkness, rejecting the Light
But He came to fulfill what God planned
And there on the cross in my place, He then surrendered
Like a Lamb, He had to go through death
Like a Lion, He rose again, He is Alive
