Poem

Today I had a nightmare
And woke up alert, in time
I woke up scared
And searched in the dark
For someone with your tenderness
And remembered a time

Because the past brings me a memory
Of the time when I was a child
And fear was a reason for tears
An excuse for a hug or comfort

Today I woke up scared
But didn't cry, nor ask for shelter
From the dark, I saw the infinite
Without present, past, or future
I felt a strong embrace, it wasn't fear anymore
It was something of yours that stayed with me

Suddenly, one sees that they lost
Or are losing something
Warm and naive that remains on the path
Which is dark and cold, but also beautiful because it's illuminated
By the beauty of what happened minutes ago

Today I had a nightmare
And woke up alert, in time
I woke up scared
And searched in the dark
For someone with your tenderness
And remembered a time

Because the past brings me a memory
Of the time when I was a child
And fear was a reason for tears
An excuse for a hug or comfort

Today I woke up scared
But didn't cry, nor ask for shelter
From the dark, I saw the infinite
Without present, past, or future
I felt a strong embrace, it wasn't fear anymore
It was something of yours that stayed with me
And that has no end

Suddenly, one sees that they lost
Or are losing something
Warm and naive that remains on the path
Which is dark and cold, but also beautiful because it's illuminated
By the beauty of what happened minutes ago
