I've gotten used to the oasis in the desert
But when it seems like you're far away, that's when you're near
After walking by your side for so long
My lord, I was able to learn
That worship is the food needed to survive

In the desert where the days are hotter
And the nights are colder
Without your grace I could not endure
I, who have already tasted water from the rock crevice
I've seen the sea part before
And I had to close the grave
Of those who walked alongside me
To get here
As a memorial to God
And to step on the soles of my feet
In the land that He gave me
