Canto do Pescador

In my boat rowing
Over the waves, through the sea
Even in calm or in the hurricane
I no longer wish to stop
With the net I will fish
Many fish for the kingdom of Zion

I will fish sinners for Christ
In this world full of horror
I will not be discouraged anymore
I will cast my net
Catching many fish for the Lord

My boat is not good
I have no talent for fishing
And they tell me I should not continue
But Jesus wanted to send me
And so I will fish
Until He pleases to call me

The Lord has a way
That is characteristic of love
He uses the least of the redeemed
The whole world left me
And was ashamed of me
But happily, I will fish, for it is better

If there is something of value
It is the net of love
Whose thread is the work of Jesus
That always brings in
The lost and troubled
To receive the light from the Lord

When there is a storm
And the fishing goes wrong
I will go fishing again in my boat!
Maybe this time
I will have no setbacks
For I take Jesus with me to teach me

After finishing fishing
And lying down to think
I have joy for the time I spent
For I will have a reward
For the fishing, in Zion
For the souls I won in the world
