Sin Fortuna (part. Manuel El Indio Ortega)

Born Without Fortune (feat. Manuel El Indio Ortega)
I was born without fortune and with nothing
Facing fate head-on
Even the most miserable would humiliate me
Everyone ignored me completely
And suddenly my luck has changed
And suddenly I found myself among great people
I saw those people feeling happy
In a vulgar and deceitful world
Hypocritical, vile, vain people
Whose money does them no good
And they die just like the poor
And their grave is the same hole
Now I walk different paths
I’m just following my destiny
And among the poor, I feel blessed
If it’s with love, I give my whole heart
I tip my hat to the poor
And I scorn even the most powerful
I’m honest and sincere, I tell you
I’ve forged my own destiny
I extend my hand to a friend
But to the rich, I’ll never bow down
I never had the warmth of a kiss
My poor folks worked so hard
They never had time for that
And that’s how I grew up, knowing only tears
I didn’t go to school, I learned as an adult
For those things, a poor person couldn’t afford
Letters don’t stick when you’re hungry
And no one lends a hand if you’re poor
That’s why I return to this old town
Where life treated me so badly
These are my people, I won’t leave them for anything
Even if I had to suffer again
I’m honest and sincere, I tell you
I’ve forged my own destiny
I extend my hand to a friend
But to the rich, I’ll never bow down
