Faith for all defects of the senses
Lord, when I see you in the sacrament of communion
I feel the sky open and a light reaching me
Cooling my head, warming my heart
Lord, thanks and praises be given at all times
I want to praise you in pain, in joy, and in suffering
And if in the midst of tribulation I forget you
Illuminate my darkness with your light

Jesus, source of mercy flowing from the temple
Jesus, the Son of the Queen
Jesus, divine face of man
Jesus, human face of God

I often come to your house
My Lord, sad and downcast, in need of love
But after communion, your house is my heart
Then I feel heaven within me

I do not commune because I deserve it, I know that
Oh my Lord, I commune because I need you
When I missed Mass, I was running away from myself, from you
But now I have returned, please accept me
