Life is like a long walk
And challenges we have to face
Thorns hurt, rocks hinder
Faced with this, we think about stopping
But if we are tired of the journey
There is a safe place to turn to
Getting discouraged won't help us at all
But resting in God we can overcome

There is a place where I find relief
And renewed I always come out of there
This place is the shadow of the Almighty
There I rest when I think about stopping

In the shadow of the Almighty I rest
He is my refuge, I can trust
My God delivers me and covers me with His wings
Day or night nothing will reach me
He sends angels to guard my way
And they hold my hands to guide me
Firm in Him I will overcome the enemy
For He saved me and gave His life out of love
