King Nebuchadnezzar calls and says this, oh

Bring them here, I want to meet them
Who are these three that won’t obey me?

The trumpets sounded, all the people heard
And they knelt down as ordered

Here come the three, heads held high
Towards the King who spoke next

I prepared a furnace for you just like you

And who is the God that can save you?

The king orders the men to stoke the fire
Without remorse, the three young men are thrown in
But he doesn’t know what he’s about to witness

In walks Shadrach, hands tied in the fire
In walks Meshach, hands bound in front of the crowd
Abednego is no different, he’s thrown in too

The King watches to see who dies first in the flames, burned
But no one died, nor were they burned or fainted

People are asking who these folks are

Who are these people, who don’t follow the trend
Who don’t obey the imposed order

These people are the believers, those who live by faith
Who even in trials stand tall
They’re an annoying bunch as someone once said
Labeled as crazy as someone once sang

The world hates the church because it won’t bow
And that’s why it annoys them
And they try to threaten us with laws

Signing decrees, saying you’ll have to bow
When they think they’re scaring us
The Church is still standing

They can grab us, tie us up, beat us, and call us crazy
They can make a big bonfire and heat the flames

If they think the Church is cowardly and backs down from the fight
They’re mistaken, for the Church is the strongest people on earth

With nothing missing and the Church still standing
Being threatened and the Church still standing
Heating the fire and the Church still standing
Standing, standing, standing, standing

Standing tall before the world, but prostrated before grace
On our knees before God, but standing before the statue

If they want to light the furnace and throw the Church in the fire
With the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

Marching on earth and giving glory to the Mighty God
