How joyful, when I heard them say to me
Let's go to the house of the Lord!

And now our feet stand
Jerusalem, at your gates

To there go up the tribes of Israel
To there the tribes of the Lord
To praise, according to the law of Israel
To praise, praise the name of the Lord
The seat of justice is there
And the throne of David

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
And for the safety of those who love you!
May peace dwell within your walls
Tranquility in your palaces!

For the sake of my brothers and my friends
I ask: Peace be within you!
For the sake of the house of the Lord
I wish you all the best!
