Oleiro

I went down to the potter's house
And I confess I was greatly amazed
The potter was working on his wheels
And I attentively watched
A beautiful vase that he made

One thing I couldn't understand
To me, the vase was perfect
The potter found a flaw in the vase
He broke and kneaded the clay
And made an even more beautiful vase

Only then could I understand
The reason why I had descended there
To see that I am nothing more than clay
And through that vase, God spoke to me

And then I heard the voice of the Lord
Who told me: I am the Almighty God
I sent you there just to show you that I can break you
And make you a new vessel

The potter is in this place today
His name is wonderful Jesus
He will break many vessels today
Knead and shape them
To then pass through the fire

And after the holy fire burns you
You will be a new and true vessel
Prepared for every good work
And you will always be used in the holy hands of the potter
