The rain falls and the wind blows sadly
And my memories are sadness and pain
Remembering the mother who sadly
For the immigrant son is praying to the Lord

I'm trapped on my way to the foreign land
And I'm sheltered in a dirty wagon
I go on adventures and also to make money
I'm illegal and I hide from immigration

I'm traveling through a path of experiences
Of hunger and desolation
But I don't care, I live this life as it comes
That's my determination

I'm risking my life so often
On paths of perdition
Hopping the train, I find myself
And lighting a cigarette
Dodging immigration

I feel happy with the life I've led
What I've gained has taught me to lose
I miss so much the girl I left
The one I promised I would soon return to

I ask the Lord to take care of me on my adventure
So I can return to my neighborhood
Hug my mother with love and tenderness
And take care of me so that immigration doesn't catch me
