La Fillette de L'étang

The Little Girl By The Pond
The little girl by the pond
No longer wants to talk to her mother
And since she has a lover
She prefers to talk to her father
And tell him she wants a child
She doesn't know that when you're twelve
You can't be a mother
Oh, what a strange business
To have all the elements
And so that the story is clear
Oh, I have to tell you right now
That her lover is also her brother
And that she always believed that her parents
Were also brother and sister before
Being her father and mother
Or maybe the opposite
The little girl by the pond
Wants to be a pair
And then blindfold herself
The little girl by the pond
Wants to be a pair
And then blindfold herself
Always blindfold herself to be happy
We don't owe her an explanation
Generations are boundaries
And when she asks questions
Grown-ups always have other things to do
And facing the wall of incomprehension
She drowns in the depths of her passion
Like one drowns in the sea
She knows what she has left to do
The little girl by the pond
Wants to make a pair
And then blindfold herself
The little girl by the pond
Wants to make a pair
And then blindfold herself
Always blindfold herself to be happy
The little girl by the pond
Wants to make a pair
The little girl by the pond
Wants to make a pair
The little girl by the pond
Wants to make a pair
