The sun is rising, the moon sleeping,
the birds are singing, and people are waking up,
I welcome the sun, happy to be alive

Fresh water, transparent water,
precious liquid, neutral and powerful,
flowing in my body, subtle nourishment,
massaging my soul, harvesting calm

River I trust in you, spectacular sea,
river you flow into,
sea I want to be inside you,
the sea contains me, the foam kisses me,
Oh Mother Earth, you are the most beautiful thing

Cottony clouds, fly low,
pass through Sumapaz, the sacred paramo,
embrace the mountain, and the frailejon,
that puts the water in circulation
