Caesar Augustus issued an edict
And a carpenter goes to register his address
He is taking his pregnant wife with him
And like a bright star, it will illuminate us
His name is Jose
Her name is Maria
The road is agony
But they undertake it with faith
From Nazareth to Galilee
They arrived in Bethlehem
Deserts and hillsides
They had to travel
The First Christmas
With Jesus, Mary and Joseph
The three kings and shepherds go
Gazing at their King
Walking immigrant with family
Under the sun they ask for strength to continue
The cold at night and the stars shine
Divine hope comes to save them
The day they arrived
Maria's water broke
The very anxious baby waited in her womb
José was looking for somewhere in a great hurry
But she received rejections simply for loving

It was a calm and serene night
The gates of heaven and Eden were opening
The light of all consciousness is born
Comforter of souls, leader of faith
And Jesus is born
God with us
Humble eternity comes to earth
