Antes de la Nieve
Andrés Cepeda
Before the Snow
The cold and the early morning have got me thinking of you
The drizzle seeps inside me if you’re not here with me
My steps are fading in the fog of memories
Without your reflection in the lagoon, I lose myself
How does it hurt so much
When the drops fall, drops of my tears
And how does it hurt so much, my heart
Let the wind take away this suffering
I want to be like the mountain, that in the rain and the storm
A little ray of sun accompanies, pushing away its loneliness
And even though there are clouds and gray skies, I’m nothing without you
I’m grateful for my scars, they’re proof that I’ve learned
And let it rain, because the water takes the pain away
There are always lights behind the fog
Because the wasteland keeps hurting, my heart
And let it rain, because the water takes the pain away
There are always lights behind the fog
Because the wasteland keeps beating before the snow, my heart
