Jesus em Jericó
Andréa Fontes
Jesus in Jericho
How long did that man wait to see?
How long did he walk without seeing?
How many times did he need someone to guide him?
How many times did he go, go, but not know how to return?
How many times did he complain to God?
How many times did he ask: Lord, let me see?
How many times did he cry under the weight of his cross?
How long did he stay without seeing the light?
When he heard that Jesus
Was performing miracles in Capernaum
Giving sight to the blind, healing the sick
No one was left unblessed
He heard that also in Nain
Jesus raised the widow's son
He also raised Jairus's daughter
In a village, He healed ten lepers
And it was then that the blind man
Moved by faith, wanted to see Jesus
By the side of the road, sadly begging
He also heard that Jesus was passing by
Because Jesus was already in Jericho
And suddenly he heard a sound
He asked what it was, someone told him it’s Jesus
Who is passing by, healing and saving
The blind man said: Now's the time
That I will see
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
(Hallelujah!)
And Jesus heard him
(Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!)
And stopped the crowd
And they brought Bartimaeus to Jesus
And Jesus asked (what do you want Me to do for you?)
(Lord, I want to see)
(And Jesus said) (then see!)
Bartimaeus immediately saw and rejoiced greatly
Because he saw for the first time the face of the Savior
Because he saw for the first time the face of the Savior
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
Son of David, have mercy!
Have mercy, Son of David!
Son of David, have mercy
Have mercy on me!
