A Vitória de Ana
Alice Maciel
Ana's Victory
Ana, a distressed woman, her enemy irritated her
But the Lord had sawn off her womb
I couldn't have children
The priest Eli did not understand her
And she said, How long wilt thou be drunken?
But Anna answered and said
No my Lord, I am a woman
Troubled in spirit
I have not been drinking strong drink or wine
But I have poured
My soul before the Lord
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace
And the God of Israel grant you your petition
And Hannah arose, and worshipped early in the morning
Elkanah knew Hannah and the Lord remembered her
Hannah wept at the feet of the Lord
Anna prayed, God heard her prayer
The Lord opened Hannah's womb
And the son was born to be the Lord's, forever
The Lord opened Hannah's womb
And the son was born to be the Lord's
Forever the Lord's
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace
And the God of Israel grant you your petition
And Hannah arose, and worshipped early in the morning
Elkanah knew Hannah and the Lord remembered her
Hannah wept at the feet of the Lord
Anna prayed, God heard her prayer
The Lord opened Hannah's womb
And the son was born to be the Lord's, forever
The Lord opened Hannah's womb
And the son was born to be the Lord's
Forever the Lord's
Cry at the feet of the Lord, pray and He will hear you
As God remembered Hannah, so He will remember you
