Today the day began
and even though the sun didn't show up
I'll keep loving you
and if today I forgot
the color of the flowers
the scent of their smell

grab a colored pencil
draw over that blotch
hope and forgiveness
paint the cold in brown
put red on the heart
put white on the resentment
