Protection

The night like a canvas
Suspended collapses
And I hear within me
Roars
And I struggle

I struggle
Against the shadows
That pierce us
Through and through
The waves of the sea
Are an armor

Protecting us
When the day chokes
So many weapons
So many icy blades
To face the beasts
Growling within us
