La celda 27

The mystery that existed
in cell 27
was a venomous scorpion,
that killed the prisoners.

It was the terror of the cell
that cursed scorpion,
because the prisoner they locked up there
would be found dead.

The government of Durango
promised amnesty
to the prisoner locked up there
if he woke up alive.

A man arrived at the prison
around the year 80
and asked to be locked up
in that cursed cell.

Pedro Rojas was the man
who had his turn
to enter 27
to pay for his crimes.

He asked for
a match and a candle
to light up a little
in that cursed cell.

Close to midnight
he saw the treacherous scorpion
seizing the moment
he covered it with his hat.

When the jailer arrived
to remove the deceased
Pedro said smiling
I already earned my amnesty
