Ontem, Hoje e Sempre

He was the most rejected of men
He bore upon Himself our sorrows
He was judged and condemned though innocent
And He paid for our sins on the cross

Today, to many, He is but a myth
Or someone unworthy of attention
His living words are not received
And, as in the past, He is rejected by His own

But Holy Scriptures do declare
That He, though made as man, has ever been God
Full of grace, authority, He showed the way
And leads us to eternal life with the Father
For truly, He has always been God
He was, is, and forever shall be
Above all and everyone, His name remains
The Lamb of God enthroned will reign
